This is a gourmet variety program in which a battle breaks out between a comedian Gori as “the Phantom thief GORI” versus “the Gourmet Detective Team”. The team is led by a famous Japanese traditional ballad singer (Enka singer), Sachiko Kobayashi, over fabulous local gourmet dishes.
Five female announcers are subordinates of GORI research and introduce the fancy gourmet dishes from their regions. They have looked for these dishes for over one year and they are filled with a lot of appealing specialties such as awesome wild game (gibier) cuisine, rare shrimp, exotic fish and sweets with a tropical fruit grown in a snowy area.
The two parties fight a fierce battle in games concerning the prefecture Niigata in which the program is set!
ガレッジセール扮する謎の『怪人ゴリ面相』と、ゴリ面相に奪われたご当地グルメを取り返そうとする『グルメ探偵団』とが戦う対決グルメバラエティ。中部5局の女性アナウンサーが怪人ゴリ面相一味として出演し、絶品ご当地グルメを紹介します！
今回注目すべきは、豪華なグルメ探偵団メンバー。リーダーを務めるのは、「ラスボス」の異名で親しまれている、新潟県出身の大物歌手・小林幸子さん。果たして、絶品グルメをいただくのはどちらのチームなのか！？
各局アナが１年かけて発掘してきたグルメは、地元の魅力が詰まったものばかり！ジビエ通をうならせる絶品珍肉料理、幻の伊勢海老、最高級の素材で作りあげた卵かけご飯、釣り人も憧れの超高級魚や雪国新潟で育った南国スウィーツが登場！
新潟の土地柄を活かしたゲームで、怪人ゴリ面相とグルメ探偵団による熾烈なバトルが繰り広げられる！
